Vampire sunlight weakness reset?
A vampires time in sunlight and how it recovers has become a question on my mind as of late. How does it work? Does its duration reset if it is placed into darkness for even a moment during the duration such that lets say a vampire that can stay a minute in sunlight but not even for a full round it ...

Re: Review thread of VRGtRL 5e
Hey everyone! :) Long time since I found my way back here. Life and a self destructing laptop that I hope to recover my many Ravenloft fan works off of. Now to my basic review of "Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft" with a more personal detailed review to follow. Basic Review Art: Very good ...

Re: Question on Gundar crunch and fluff!
Good to know. Seems like despite the aging he still had a large amount of strength. I need to compare the bonuses for being a Nosferatu versus that of Death Knight and the stats I have for Soth and see how that lines up. Maybe he had some unnatural level of strength.

Re: Need Advice For Running a Jacqueline Montarri Adventure
This makes me wonder if the Vistani are really either the "Dark Powers" themselves or maybe their avatars. I personally both prefer and assume they are not. Mostly as they seem to suffer from and can be entrapped by the Dark Powers themselves and a lot of threats tend to target them even ...

Re: Question on Gundar crunch and fluff!
I was kind of thinking the same thing. Perhaps due to how his emotions were affected when he was exposed to the artifact that restored his emotions. Also perhaps due to his seeming aging which seems to be unique to his line of Nosferatu vampire than others from his home world.

Re: Question on Gundar crunch and fluff!
Thank you Lord Pruitt and good job pointing me towards the wiki. 50 points for your house! The wiki does cite quite a few sources but the only problem is that it does not say which source the specific details I was looking for were in. I just was hoping someone could focus my search to which officia...

Question on Gundar crunch and fluff!
What unique powers and curse did Gundar have when he was darklord? I know he was a Nosferatu but other than that and his hang ups with aging I don't have a lot of details. If someone could explain or point me to some source material that could help flesh out my understanding a bit more I would appre...

Re: A ship as a dread golem
Just a note on something I think might be good to use for reference. In Dragon magazine issue 333 on pages 74 to 77 is an article for "Robin Hobb's World of the Farseers" which has 3.5 statistics for Guardian Ships from the setting. It is basically a sentient construct ship and the article...

Re: Alchemic Child Questions
Eh, it comes down to setting differences. In Eberron, divine magic is powered by faith . The gods may not actually exist at all. Divine forces, like the Silver Flame and the Undying Court do exist, but they are formed from sacrifice and worship, respectively. I'm not really arguing that Warforged d...

Re: Alchemic Child Questions
Just as a minor clarification: it is unknown if Warforged have souls. They can be resurrected, yes, but all divinatory attempts to determine whether or not they have a soul has been inconclusive. More than that, no Warforged soul has ever been found in Dolurrh. (Although it should be noted that one...

No problem at all. Just clarifying why I tried to fit them at all. I mostly prefer my Mongrelmen in Markovia personally.

Re: Developing a Jekyll/Hyde history for an amnesiac PC
I may have been a bit unclear originally. Let me clarify something. There's the alchemist (Anton Grigori) and the creature (Ghaul). The PC is playing Ghaul who was, at one time, Anton. Ghaul has memories of being tortured and being forced to kill other people as "tests" required of Anton ...

Re: Gentlemen's Club
Another possible angle is the old badger game. It works like this: a especially attractive prostitute lures a less well off but monied mark, ideally a stranger in town, into the house, separates him from his money and his clothing in preparation for trysting, then shoves him out the back door and l...

Re: Developing a Jekyll/Hyde history for an amnesiac PC
Well an alchemist who uses others may torture his victims and use parts of them which would hold ethereal resonance thus emotions of the victims to be sure. But since the character is the alchemist then they would have the emotions and perspectives of the alchemist as well. Perhaps have the player r...
