Re: Lord Soth: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

Also in 5e Lord Soth is Lawful Evil compared to 2e where he was Chaotic Evil, as far as I am concerned he is Chaotic who behaves like a pseudo-lawful character, talking about the Oath and the Measure when others don't behave as they should, and giving the impression that he is honourable only to ch...

Re: Lord Soth: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

Yes punishing the players for their characters addiction is not a really good idea  I was thinking more along the lines of a 'pusher' giving free samples. In mirror land they gain full 'mirror xp' but once they return to the real world that xp drops to 1-10% real xp. If they return to the ...

Re: Lord Soth: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

Ahhhh, I see where you are coming from now :gabrielle: Any discrepancies with time/place can be easily waved away as Soths' memory twisting event so he is the 'victorious hero'. So, in the real Krynn, Soth did attack Kalamar as above, but was beaten by the heroes in the Dragon Queen adventure, so he...

Re: Lord Soth: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

I am thinking of buying Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen as it could be useful when running the When Black Roses Bloom adventure setting the Dragonlance adventure inside the memory mirrors . Is it any good? On this I couldn't say sorry, beyond online reviews. :( Did :soth: attack the city of...

Re: The OGL, Ravenloft and You

Actually, D&D is doing quite well. Recent books have still been selling out and D&D has been on a streak for the last few years. If 2022 was a slump, it was only because 2021 and 2020 were D&D's best years ever. (Even including the height of D&D in 1983-84!) D&D (and WotC) is, b...

Re: Hygiene and fashion (Richemulot / Dementlieu), food for thought

Well, my Falkovnia have highter Hygene too, to keep the army healthy; in my Dementlieu, they have got a Falkovnian occupation, they now are wary of epidemics. That is an interesting idea for Falknovia and I can see it for their armies - even without occupied territories involved. Armies are terrifi...

Actually he sizzles. Ha Ha . Well he got off easily then. In an old Werewolf: The Apocalypse game we played had something similiar. Our GM ran roughly equivilant secnario of 'forbidden love' with an *ahem* 'glittering' vamp and a quasi-shirtless werewolf during an adventure (based on ...

'Lack Light'?
Does the Darklord ..ummm... let's say 'glitter' as well? :gabrielle:

And yes, I have read you strip 'Even Chaotic Evil has literary standards'.

100 Road encounters And now for some comedic colour commentary: You missed the obvious one... 47. Do the party run away, count to three, or start shouting 'Ni' at it? Of course there could be other options in the same vein... 47A: You see a grail like beacon in a tower in the distance. If the party...

And lived for a decade without teeth as he gave them to his doppelganger statue.... I thought that was a bit weird. Terminal condition (...ten years later...) oh, right, terminal condition *urk*. Still, I wonder if the full sized doll had some relation to Shintoism where in dolls can have souls/spi...

Are the reference numbers (1-8) scattered througout 'Secrets of Pharazia (pg 193-194) meant to be linked to footnotes?

Or has Aayid al-Farra (the Finest Barber in All Phiraz) has shaved a little to much off?

Definetly, "Ample Supply".

Re: QtR29 - submissions open (it's a secret!)

And just as the nice Doctor Mordenheim had finished charging the cattle prod, it is released. :gabrielle: Slowly working my way through, I very much like Chibiloft!. It reminds me of the old Nodwick cartoons scattered throughout the old Dungeon magazines. A humorous break from lots of reading. Wait ...
