Lamest pit fiend ever. Only battle abilities, and boring at that; solo he doesn't do any real damage; and most important, where did they hide its ungodly Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledges and so on? It's assumed to be a devil noble, not Just Another Miniature :(... Probably a fitting 26th level enc...

Well, he's still capable of severe damage. First of all, his Frenzy ability is a standard action, so he can technically use both the mace and tail attacks together. That's what, 1d12+11 and 1d6+11? And a successful tail attack lead to a bonus third attack. Plus, it seems as though they have effects ...

Before 3e came out, we used to wait and see what the weather was like before we played. See, on foggy nights, my house would be surrounded by the stuff and you couldn't see much farther than a few feet out the window. If it happened to be a foggy night, instead of our regularly scheduled Planescape ...

Re: What happened to Dragon and Dungeon magazines?
What happened with those magazines? Will they stop being published completely? Will they keep being published only at the web? I still see them in the WotC site. I think that although they're not printed anymore, they're still in the loop via electronic means. Yeah, they still exist, just no longer...

A Beacon in the Darkness, or Just a Deeper Shadow?
Yeah, it's a goofy title, and it really has nothing to do with Ravenloft, but I just wanted to announce it here. My wife and I, who are expecting, had an ultrasound done yesterday, and it's a girl! We've already decided on a name, which is Catherine Faye. So, there only a few of you that might care,...

That said, under 3E, all of these things are taken for granted. If the original lives, clone produces an empty husk that withers and dies if not preserved. Upon the death of the original body, the soul would immediately be drawn to and would start inhabiting the clone body, if there was one already...

Agreed. Best case scenerio: Strahd Zombie.Lord Soth wrote:I'd probably end up a corpse, which is the fate that'd probably befall most of us. Unless, of course, we happen to run into a red robed Gnome Wizard who zaps us with some kind of spell that gives us class levels, before tossing us powerful artifacts.

I've mostly loved what I've read of the Dark Tower series to date (though I've only read the first five). Personally, I'm a fan of all the different references to various works of both his own design and other writers. Admittedly, though, I did think that the inclusion of the Harry Potter and Star W...
