Re: Canon Celestials In Ravenloft?
I think we've rehashed Isolde enough. And if she's the only canon celestial, so be it. But that just leads back to a question I already asked: why would a fan in 2e mention reality disruptions regarding a celestial (found here for clarification) in Ravenloft? Was it original inspiration on their pa...

Re: Looking for Some Help with a Map
Thanks all. When I found this map I had a thought of asking the artist if I could have a copy of his digital files for my own personal use. Of course, when I then noticed that I'd had the map for 6-1/2 years, those hopes did dim somewhat.

Looking for Some Help with a Map
Howdy all. I'm going through my Ravenloft files and I've found that I have a really lovely color map of the Core. It's pre-Grand Conjuction but includes several settlements introduced in Ravenloft Gazetteer III and some newly invented sites (and a road) in Dementlieu. (It's not this map on the site,...

Sorry, I missed some details and thought the thread was about a 4E game.

Re: Wolfweres
I am soon to run Feast of Goblyns wherein they factor heavily. Is having only damage reduction of 5 needing them? The notes in the module suggest that they should be incredibly deadly. Keep in mind that in 2nd edition, "only harmed by weapons forged of cold iron" (or made of silver, or so...

Re: Mistipedia users - what do you want?
Nothing in particular is motivating me to say this here and now, but, for the record: I find the dark-blue-on-black links in the Mistipedia to be literally painful to read. There has to be a better alternative.

Re: Touch of Death (3.5 conversion) Help
We (forum users) had long debates on the issue of Strahd's alignment back in the day. And no, it was never officially changed via errata. To quickly touch on those arguments, I myself believe that CE is as accurate as anything. Strahd certainly acts to protect Barovia from outside threats, but that'...

He never had any intention of making it canon, no.

Re: Unsolved Mysteries: Ravenloft
William Connors' pet theory was that "Death" was a dark power. One of several. For taking such a direct role in corrupting Strahd, the other dark powers exiled this particular "death" from the Mists (or wherever it is the dark powers actually exist). This "death" was tr...

I know what one TSR Kargat's headcanon was on that one.Bluebomber4evr wrote:Oh, I've got one.
Who or what did Strahd really make his bargain with? Strahd called it "Death", but that's all we know.

Re: Unsolved Mysteries: Ravenloft
Going by our plans for the Gentleman Caller, a dukkar included in the Odiare gazetteer (while most likely a young child, I would think), wouldn't have a native Odiaran for a mother.

Re: Unsolved Mysteries: Ravenloft
I find it kind of interesting that I've never developed headcanon for most of these mysteries. Except the Time of Unparalleled Darkness. That one I figured out.
I've just become fond of open-ended questions, I reckon.
