Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

^I think the damage Lucas did to his own franchise is horrifying enough. Usually Disney stuff is to made to a very high standard, and they have the time, money and creative team necessary to do justice to the vision of the original films. Personally, I think Lucas has lost touch with his own materia...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

^ Nah, I find porn so ridiculous because of the bad acting, it really makes me laugh. I remember one summer, going to visit my grandma, she had pay per view cable, and we had a pretty serious argument, and I was really pissed off, so for fun I downloaded a bunch of adult movies to her DVR. It ...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

My landlord had a stack of DVD movies he was looking to give away. Knowing I'm a film buff, he asked me if I wanted to take a look through them and see if there was any I wanted. Don't think he realized he'd included "Big Apple Booties--Volume 2" in there as well. . . oh yuck dude, I don't...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Not a real madness check, but I actually forgot it was Halloween yesterday evening. I was expecting my boyfriend to come over, and the doorbell rang, and so I answered it, and there were these two little kids wearing facepaint holding their pumpkin buckets out expectantly. I looked at them cluelessl...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

^ I would totally wear that!!! It doesn't sound so bad Gonz, the Data one sounds cool anyway. But I tend to love loud novelty T-shirts. And a Star Trek novelty T-shirt would be just plain awesome in my book! (although giant Riker head DOES sound kinda creepy, LOL)

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

I asked my landlord if I could borrow an umbrella, as my is knackered and it was raining heavily today. When I opened it up, I saw that it had a dude's face silk-screened onto it and some writing. It was pretty faded, but I could make out "To the Glory--in commeration of the life of (dude's nam...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Too soon to recall the Scary Story to Tell in the Dark where the girl gets a spider bite and several days/weeks later in the shower and the "bite" hatches. Sorry Lady Soth, I really did not want to add horribleness to injury. No worries Dark Angel! We've had these spiders here latel...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

I had a real life madness check: went to doctor to get treated for a spider bite. Was given anti-biotics. Had severe allergic reaction to this particular brand of antibiotic and got very bad rash. Had to return to the doctor two more times and finally was given correct combination of pills/creams to...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

^Actually, I have no idea of the person's political affiliation. I try to avoid conversation with the neighbor if at all possible, as I have absolutely nothing positive to say.

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Had a real madness check today when I saw that a neighbor who has frequently stolen, tried to cover up and then lied about it, has been honored with a civic award for being an "asset to the community"!!!  I'm not too terribly surprised, actually. Such is the way of the world....

Re: This Sickens Me

^I actually have no idea what either of you two meant, since Brandi's initial post was edited and now doesn't make sense ??? I'm certainly not a supporter of Palin though (why even bring her into this dicussion?) . . . by saying that I thought "the liberal media outlets would be all over this s...

Re: This Sickens Me

Doesn't seem to be covered on any reliable news sites . . . just some facebook pages and blogs are coming up. If this were real, I'd think the liberal media outlets would be all over this. I'm a skeptic that all the claims in the story are true.

Re: Ravenloft Novels in PDF

^For what its worth, I quite like "Death of a Darklord". Normally I'm not a fan of Laurall K. Hamilton but this book is definitely one of her better ones. The main protagonist is a very strong female character, who, if I remember correctly, has unique healing gifts that get messed up when ...

Re: Real life fear/horror/madness

Oh thank you Zettaljin! Those are perfect! I simply LOVE "Schuld Unsres Knochrigen Faltpferds" -- I'm bookmarking these clips right now, to get ready for next time. Many Thanks. (As black metal goes, these guys aren't half bad!)
