Re: Origin of Vistani, Ezra, Hala?

Hala was already mentioned in 1995? I thought she was a "new" addition in 3e Indeed, she predates the appearance of Ezra even who made her first appearance in Domains of Dread (1997). I might be wrong but Hala might be the first Ravenloft-centric deity introduced in the line, since in AD&...

Re: Origin of Vistani, Ezra, Hala?

Is that Arijani from Sri-Raji in the 2nd one? Where can I find them? Are they for sale somewhere, in ebook form? I don't want dead-tree books. They are very hard to bring all the way here. Somewhat late but if interested, here's a video of a guy reading Night of the Tiger: https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Church of the Morning Lord.

So the longest description I could find of the church was actually here surprisingly and not Gazetteer I, but neither describe what their clerics are called. Anyone got any canon or any other names they made for their campaign? For example, if I'm not mistaken the clerics of Ezra are called Wardens...

Re: Official Neverwinter: Ravenloft

Yeah, it's quite different. My understanding is that Neverwinter is closer to a generic World of Warcraft type of game, very high fantasy/hack 'n slash. I'm not sure how they will reconcile that with Ravenloft's more gothic lower magic setting. They had also released a Ravenloft expansion to Dungeon...

Re: List of characters with failed powers checks

I'd add Claude LaGrange (Gazetteer III) to that list.

I added some minor details about the adventure Deepening Shadows last month; forgot to mention it:

Re: Prisoners of the Mists - Online persistent Ravenloft wor

This looks intriguing enough to overcome my aversion to real-time action RPGs for a moment and shell out a few bucks for NWN at GOG.com. Does PotM allow for solo-adventuring (quests, dungeons, wandering monsters, etc), or is it all DM- and event-driven? It definitely allows for solo-adventuring, th...

Re: Summary of The Return of Stezen D'Polarno (RPGA MODULE)

Are there any NPCs in there? Or anything on the lands or the Marquis' history? Locations featured? The second round of the Return of Stezen d'Polarno presents the history of Ghastria but there's nothing drastically different from Darklords. There seems to be a minor continuity error between the adv...

Dementlieu, seems very empty, I must be missing someplaces, help please? You're not missing much: -Prey's Road from Chateaufaux to Falkovnia (Gaz III, mentioned in the Diplomacy section) -Domaines de la Vie Éclairée (around the D'Honaire Estate) -Edrigan (VRGtF but no exact location given) -There a...

Sithican is one of the elven languages from Krynn (Grey Elves speak it I think), so it probably is drawn from there, so I don't think it's really a Ravenloft language.

I definitely think it would depend on where one is from. A peasant from the Village of Barovia probably doesn't know or care about anything but the things going on in the Village. Darkonians, I think, are said not to care much about other realms and to be more centered on their land. I could see inh...

According to VRA, each shard gives the character wielding it the power of shield of the sect the shard belongs to (one for each sect and a fifth one that's undefined). Also, the alignment of the character is slowly changed to LN subconsciously (DC 18 will or the alignment shifts one alignment closer...

In our persistant world, I introduced the Lawgiver to Blaustein. The way I did it was to have Bluebeard supporting this Church since it endorses his way of ruling. The people of Blaustein are generally not religious, so they care little for the Lawgiver or any other god though. The people of Blauste...
