Yep. Domains of Dread didn't come shrink wrapped. The monster hunter's Compendium also were not. I got my copy of Champions shrink wrapped though. i don't remember if that was done by the FLGS or by TSR. The last boxed sets were also shrink wrapped (Bleak house, Requiem).

Regarding Har'akir, I made the domain bigger and added some nomad camps along the desert. I also added more ruins ala valley of the Kings in Egypt. Har'akir was conceived as a weekend in hell domain, and through all editions remained as such. But if you would like to run a campaign in the Amber Wast...

You should take a look at eBay for a physical copy of what you're looking for. A lot of stuff comes and goes regularly there. Specially the boxed sets. Another alternative is to get all of these items in PDF format (if you'd like this of course). Almost the entire 2nd ed. line is available from RPGn...

I use "The Core" for the main lands. But never used islands for all other domains. Just thier proper names.
