My campaign - need some help

Okay. This might turn out to be a tiring rant, but hey. I need some advice on something. Introductions first. I live in Belgium, Antwerp and am 18years old. I'm quite the new DM, been doing it for two or three years (but only once a month or so, max) and I'm addicted to Ravenloft since a year, I thi...

R He probably IS a vampire and gets paid in blood!... !!! *drama I too think these guys deserve proper respect for their work. I have never played 2nd edition, so maybe I'm not the one to speak, but I have to say ...

Make sure you have jousting in your game. :D It's always good fun. A tournament could give you a lot of story hooks, I reckon. Hell yeah :D It could be a player's goal, to actually win a tournament. Tomorrow I'm supposed to create the first PC. I'll roleplay the character's creation. It'll be the m...

A player-friendly book on detective-style investigation. A player-friendly book on societies and organisations a PC can belong to. I think this is a great idea. A book about detective-style gameplay would be superb. I don't know of anything like it. I would also love to get an answer to the "D...

The real question is what kind of theme are you going for in your campaign? Its not really the plot thats important its the theme...once you decide on a main theme and minor themes and atmosphere...you can shape everything to tie into that main theme... It doesn't have to be part of the same plot p...

Vasaliches also have phylacteries. And they're the lame version of liches, just like weak shadow fiends are the lame version of superfiends. Therefore, weak shadowfiends should have phylacteries. In a way, it's kinda logical :) Though I do feel that the weaker the creature, the smaller and the more ...

Spring Heeled Jack

Look what I found. I found it very intrigueing...
Think the story has got a lot of RL feel to it.

Could easily be adapted and used in a Ravenloft encounter, methinks.

If I were a player in a campaign with all these rape/torture/... things, I wouldn't feel comfortable in the gameworld. I think I wouldn't want Ravenloft to be more than the classic 'Weekend in hell'. I'd say, watch out with these things, as maybe, after a few sessions, your players would urge for a ...

Have you ever had this feeling

Yesterday, as I was sitting in my bed, having just finished reading GAZII the day before, I felt guilty. Guilty, because I wasn't preparing a game in Falkovnia and that I was just letting Drakov have his way. It felt as if I was letting all those people out there just be oppressed and that I wasn't ...
