Scrathes

http://www.scratchesmystery.com/ I'm currently in the proccess of writing a proper review for this game. Still, I thought I should let you all know about it. This scared me. Seriously, this caused the kind of irrational fear I felt the first time I read through "The Color Out of Space" in...

Although not quite what you asked for, I would have to reccomend the hidiously bad movie "The Shaft" as a good reference for both what a Phatasmogoria (sp?), or sentient place of evil, might behave like, and how it most certainly shouldn't. Note how the initial behavior of the "Killer...

I am, as of yet, the ONLY PERSON to have a positive number on the economic left/right front. (!) Surely there must be another capitalist among our number?... Well, I've always thought of myself as more or less Anarcapitalistic, but apperantly I was wrong. I suspect some of those questions about imm...

Economic Left/Right: -1.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.26

Interesting, I thought I was more Capitalistic than that.

Not sure as to the relation between Iron Heroes and AE, but yes, you could use it for RL, but you'll have to keep in mind that Iron Heroes is designed for a slightly more cinematic style of play than you normally see in RL, with a lot of focus on big set-peice battles, and the since the classes are ...

Bah, that's about the mildest one can expect from a few rounds of Google-Seppuku. I mean, where's the screaming? The clawing at one's eyes? The prayers to any higher power listening to strike the image from your memory?

Would you rather WotC simply put out the 3 core books and simply vanished for a decade until they decided to reprint. If we wanted that, we could just play Gamma World instead... Seriously though, I've nothing against this book, it just doesn't interest me in the slightest. I can only afford a new ...

I don't see the menace of a plane of mist, but maybe that's just me. However, I like Rotipher's idea. Here are some vague beginings you could use. Perhaps like the Darklord, people who linger too long here begin to fade, mentally, then physically, until there's nothing left of them. Or has that gen...

Specialization is fine, but that doesn't mean the combat-junkie shouldn't pick up an extra language or two and a smattering of social and knowledge skills eventually. What are you going to do when you need to gather information, and your rogues nowhere in sight? Or you need to know a monsters weakne...

Outside of Ravenloft, I'd say that while they wouldn't be immune, they'd certainly be very resistant. An angel feeling guilty about what it does would be about a common as a demon who starts to consider that it might be wrong to skin people alive and make attractive hats out of them, in other words ...

Just be careful you don't end up creating the RPG equaviliant of that Brothers Grimm movie....

Actually, now that I think about Grimm, by Fantasy Flight Games might help you a bit in this, even if the default game's meant to involve child PCs.

EDIT: Actually one other thing I was wondering, if the dark powers have mimiced versions of the elmenetal planes. What is stopping them, from expanding there realm into a full blown seperate multiverse of it's own. Obviously we can't say for certain, but I suspect that wouldn't just be stepping ove...

As a big fan of Deadlands, I'm quite aware of that. Doesn't mean we can't have a touch of something with a similar feel in the Demiplane. Now, a couple of thoughts from myself; While I don't mind having smaller Western-themed domains, I would still like to keep a touch of a Victorian feel somewhere ...

I still like the idea of a Phantom Train carting the players around for a Sliders-style, problem-of-the-week campaign, but the Plains of Innocence and Grand Central both sound interesting as well. A thought though; perhaps they could both be linked. I know the concept of two darklords who hate each ...

Personally, I think it'd be pretty amusing if it turned out that a character was so sociopathic he felt guilt about *nothing*... or that he had a misplaced sense of guilt over a deed, ie Alfie feels guilty for not being able to bring his wolf out properly, not over the possibility that he's got it ...
