With all due respect to Wiccy, I agree with Joel. Taking a look at the general roleplaying forum, I see a thread for the WWE roleplaying game, D&D 4th edition, and Sacrifice d20. Surely, this is a more appropriate forum. I'm a lot less likely to look at the general forum.

Absolutely, Ligeia. Shadow Chasers is similar to MotRD to be almost identical. For me, it's the setting and the story that are the most important aspects of MotRD. The rules....well, for me it's whatever is the easiest, lightest toolset to work with. Before starting my campaign, I debated between us...

But to counter your argument, Iggy. How can the line improve if people aren't told the prevailing feeling over certain books? Whilst I don't share ScS's feelings about Masque, I think it's a good book with poorly edited sections , it is probably for the best that he tells someone the shortcomings o...

FYI ... Chaosium is supposed to be coming out with a new, expanded version of Cthulhu by Gaslight. It might already be out ... I might look into that, too. I didn't know that! I'll be on the lookout for it! Never hurts to float the idea past your group first. The biggest issue I've always had was w...

From the standpoint of just giving a good, general background for the setting, I think the Masque book does a decent job. It's by no means comprehensive, but it does give a good overview of Victorian culture, and what's going on in various parts of the world, both historical and supernatural. I thin...

I ran into the same issue. For my game, I've ignored the bonus spell entirely, and just added the +1 into the total number of spells the mystic can cast that level. I've also tried to add spells from other sources outside of just the core rulebook.

...I got mine for a tenner. I paid 50p at a car boot sale, but the map was missing :( Still, I can't complain, lol. As I remember it, the map wasn't anything to write home about anyways. Pretty much just a map of the world circa 1890 with some of the major cities highlighted, political boundaries, ...

The Red Death and the Cthulhu Mythos

Can these two concepts coexist in the same campaign? How would you go about merging The Red Death and the Outer Gods and Great Old Ones? I'm currently running a Masque campaign and started out using a CoC module that I've adapted. The concept of the Red Death hasn't come up for the characters, and a...

The rules work well enough for my group thus far, but I don't prepare adventures that are designed to be combat heavy. Most of the spells the medium casts in our game are cast before combat, not during. That said, I probably won't run a Masque game that will advance to the point that the part is cas...

Fantastic website! I'm actually running my players through Eyes for the Blind, modified for Masque as well, so my eyes really lit up when I started reading through your site. Good work! :D

No worries! I actually found out that since the RPGA modules are property of Wizards, only Wizards can distribute them. Sadly, they don't have any plans to do so. C'est la vie.

Retired Living Death modules

Apologies if this is the wrong board for this question...are retired Living Death modules available for purchase anywhere, or once they're retired...that's it?
