The whole "I am the Land" thing might not just be Strahd. Maybe the darkklord being invested in their torment is part of what makes the prison to begin with. They are trapped *because* they care. In Neither Man Nor Beast, Markov also says "I am the land!" during the final battle.

Aye, I noticed that as well. It's so strange do you think they forgot to add the levels on purpose or was the company trying something new by attempting to give DM's more freedom in a way?

Unless I'm somehow missing it, no character levels were listed in the adventures within this supplement? The back cover says "for all character levels" but surely a new group can't take these creatures?
