Re: MARKET PLACE: Ravenloft's interesting auctions and links

I'm currently collecting Ravenloft again and I'm shocked at the prices they are going for. This thread is a godsend. I can't help but feel these Internet sellers are grinning like a cheshire cat when I hand over my money at exuberant prices. 8 modules down, so many to go :)

Re: Ravenloft as featured article of Wikipedia today!

I was well chuffed when I saw Ravenloft on Wikipedia. Doubly strange 'cause I'm getting back into RL after a 2 year hiatus.

CALL OF DUTY 5: WORLD AT WAR 'Eh', I hear you ask? Well, if you finish the campaign mode, you receive quite probably the best 'extra' ever in a video game. The bonus level is called: NAZI ZOMBIES You just have to play this game online! You're stuck in a dilapidated building, there's a full moon, mis...

The Great War

Seeing as this week marks the ninetieth anniversary for the end of hostilities during World War 1, I was reminded that a module could have been released for Gothic Earth. Did this ever come about? I don't want to appear to be crass. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the soldiers that...

Is it possible to play Ravenloft online?

There are no RPG clubs where I live, I'm a thirtysomething anyway so I'll probably be looked upon is disdain if I checked out local game hobby shops but I'm really in the mood for a good game of Ravenloft. I don't think there will be a problem for conveying atmosphere from a Player Character perspec...

Soth didn't enter until the end of the Dragonlance Legends. If you believe TSR anyway. Personally, I'm with Hickman. If the auther/creator says it's not canon, it's not canon.

Anyone know any good games to play that has a gothic atmosphere? Obviously, the soundtracks to these games are very important to generate the correct 'feel'. I know of a few... Aaargh! Azalin does NOT have a high pitched voice in my book! LOL. I blame the Grand Conjunction modules for that! Azalin is potrayed almost like The Joker in those damnable volumes. DEFINITE NO NO. For me, Azalin, rarely ever speaks. And when he does, it sounds like a death knell upon your soul. Ve...

I personally don't let the mists take a person to Ravenloft. That's too easy. I once had a campaign where an obsessed Knight Of Solamnia tracked a black robed mage all across Ansalon. The knight learned of a sacrifice that the mage would perform when Nuitari was at it's zenith. What the knight didn'...

Yeah, but it's good fun.

I personally love 'official continuity'. I'm very interested when Ravenloft takes the next step. That's why I'm disappointed that I'll never see a 'Time Of Unparralleled Darkness' module. I would have loved that.
