As climate and farming techniques changed (and court structures, for that matter), the number varied. In England according to the Domesday book, it...

First off, apologies for the delay.

Second, I wish to give Shadiir a little more stubstance, and also further explain the reasons why he would establish himself in the core sometime soon after this meeting, instead of remaining in his homecountry.

Should I just open a thread 'Shadiir's Letters'?

The two eldery academics exchange glances, then Lacomte replies, "Not at all--you are the soul of brevity and cogency, Brother Tuyuz. I wonder if Father Shadowcloak is fully serious about the implications of his recent research..." Seeing Tuyuz' confusion, he continues, "The Shadowcl...

"Esteemed Brother Armande Dupin," Lacomte says, and the gentleman indicated stands and offers his hand to Tuyuz, smiling faintly. "A pleasure, Brother Tuyuz," he says. "I confess, I have not made so deep a study of the queen of the sciences as to penetrate the depths of Fat...

The coolest, in my opinion, still is to bring in outlanders and have them treat the realm as any other, untill they find out something is terribly wrong after which both players and characters educate themselves in the ways of the world. But to be honest, I've no idea how to pull that off succesfull...

The Rajian cannot help but smile at Lacomte's first words. I must've made at least somewhat of an impression. Now only to find out if it's negative or not. He approaches the two and when asked for his insights he will make a small bow in the tradition of his homeland. "Doctor Tuyuz, currently p...

Shadiir will head into the garden with a borrowed umbrella and checks on his tent. Hailing from a land of the monsoon , he's pretty good with the tent-rain combination, and he's back in without getting too wet or muddy. In a lavatory nearby he cleans himself up a bit, then heads out into a vacant st...

On the WotC site: A look back at Ravenloft

For this D&D Alumni, we wanted to take a look back at how Count Strahd von Zarovich, master of Ravenloft, compares from his 1st edition self to his most recent incarnation. D&D Alumni, 1st edition Strahd: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/alumni/20061027a EtCR Excerpt, Strahds latest ...

I could send you what I have, if you're interested.
