Re: Alchemic Child Questions
Digging up the math on all of this brought me to my notes on the Barringtons club in our campaign. Posted on the main forum if anyone is interested.

Re: Elemental Keys and the Ebonbane
I never really cared for BotS. Ebonbane has a power called "Reality Control" where he can control the sun and moon, rewind time, rip the second floor right off the manor on a whim, and otherwise control whatever he wants to toy with the PC's with godlike powers...but can't actually stop th...

Re: Alchemic Child Questions
My problem with the Alchemical Child is how cheap they are. 1000 gp + 5gp per 4 years of maturation = 1020gp for a sixteen year old duplicate, 1040 for a thirty-two year old. So, for the cost of a +1 sword, I can have a perfectly loyal henchman with a telepathic bond and the abilities of a 1st level...

Re: The Stepford Wives for RL
Despite the fact that it's what git my GF and I into RL, we never got around to actually running it. We started the whole Gentleman's Lodge thing, but it ran in a different direction. Regarding the women being institutionalized, I like DS's original idea of the souls being split into fragments, like...

Re: Feral Children of Anhalla
I guess my question is, where are the children coming from? If they are coming from Moosha's ruined empire, then the Mists could port in new ones after each one dies. But that would just mean that Tiyet really IS devouring a couple hundred kids a year. As for why there's a whole pack of them, I woul...

Re: Harkon's REAL Crime (WARNING! Mature Content)
It's been a long time since I read HoM. I don't remember if Harkon appears as female. In FoG, he uses his ring of impersonation to impersonate Akriel, since he's cursed to have only one male and one female human form. In this thread, http://fraternityofshadows.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=211746#p2117...

Re: Montarri's Mess
Markov would IMO be better suited, not Mordenheim. Markov sews parts together of living creatures to make Broken ones. That's assuming the heads count as living. We know they are conscious, yes, but I'm not sure they should qualify as "alive." After all, they don't ingest anything or have...

Re: Montarri's Mess
Now this is me as the metagamer player right now (and I know she was a normal human prior to her curse), she could take a half elven woman's head and get several more days out of it (sorry I just called a woman's head "it"). If she could find a suitable elven woman's head, she may be able...

Re: Harkon's REAL Crime (WARNING! Mature Content)
That's true, Soth and Hazlik both wandered for a while, but Soth at least had a seminal event in RL before becoming bound to the land. His confrontation with Magda's mother led to the formation of Sithicus. Hazlik IDK, but I think there is more of Harkon's story than what I have here. Perhaps.... Pe...

Harkon's REAL Crime (WARNING! Mature Content)
(there are no books/cannon material subjects on how human wolfwere interbreeding works to my knowledge) Closest I can think of is for Harkon himself. His children whose mothers are wolfweres are Greater Wolfweres, while his children with human mothers are merely regular wolfweres. (but never full h...

Re: The Princess and the Dragon: A Parable
Wow... that's... that's really good! Quite a fireside tale to tell! Thanks! One of my former players wrote up the original, which had a more ambiguous ending because it was intended to raise the question of at what point was the dragon no longer an evil monster? Was it when he stopped eating anyone...

Re: Does Althea (QtR #21) deserve Darklordship?
Actually, there's a translation issue there that makes it unclear whether it was consensual or not. The Latin verb has been translated as "violated" which is where we get the idea it was rape. It could also just refer to a willing loss of virginity. Other translations of the same line tra...

Don't summoners automatically get Entities from the Id as a bonus feat? Where did I read that?

Re: The Zarovan Vistani (spoilers for Curse of Strahd)
In Gaz 1, it says she was beheaded for her crimes before the Vistani got her corpse, but it doesn't say who did it. Strahd caught her in the castle, but anyone could have held the blade.
