Re: 5e character paths
Thanks for the feedback! I was hoping that someone had already looked at working something up, but if they are really serious about it I'll start working on adapting it and share it here for review.

5e character paths
With my upcoming campaign, one of my players has inquired about playing a dirge. Now, with 3/3.5 there was the multiple dirge Prestige Classes someone could opt into, but I'm curious if anyone has developed any character options to account for this like the Bardic colleges that are listed in the PHB...

Darkonian Curse
I'm looking to start a new campaign and I've been considering an option I would like opinions on. I'm going to have them make 4th lvl characters and then when we start playing have them be zero level villagers with no true memories. From there as things progress they will "discover" abilit...

Re: [5e] Hags and how they're made
I can certainly see your point here, but the girls look human until 13 so survival wouldn't be that tough if the hags return them unannounced and the grief stricken parents, too happy to think about it, take the child back in without telling anyone. Now as you pointed out, the cost of the human popu...

Re: Character Traits
These are certainly interesting and I'll be sure to incorporate them into my game, but I'm not sure this quite fits what the player and myself are looking for.

Re: [5e] Hags and how they're made
I really like this approach to Hags. That said, I think I would have to limit the number of Hags being able to be reproduced. The whole "infinite" number could simply be a superstitious myth that villagers tell and has propgated so fully that most consider it truth (ergo the Tempest witch ...

Character Traits
I'm starting a new 5th ed campaign in which one of my players would like to have a dark side that manifests itself at times, specifically causing a hindrance for the party and adding to tension. He is looking to play someone who is normally a bit of a coward and one of the ideas he presented was tur...

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft
I loved playing Deadlands before it became part of Savage Worlds and since the systems are virtually the same I can imagine this would be very cool to use. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this. As already stated, the art is fantastic.

Re: Pathfinder v 5e
5e also feels a lot like 1e/2e, which is how Ravenloft started, and so it works really well. While doing my Ravenloft monster conversions I'm barely even looking at the 3e book and going right to the 2e source. Plus, PCs are squishy and it's easy to take them down, which really works in a horror/Ra...

Re: Pathfinder v 5e
I could tell with things like proficiencies that Next might be a good choice for being able to use 2nd ed products with. That said, I hate that it feels like it's not quite as customizable as pathfinder.

Pathfinder v 5e
Since Ryan has his Pathfinder conversion and now Jester is working on a 5e version what are your preferences on running a campaign? I've been wanting to run a new one for a while and I'm torn between the two. What is everyone's thoughts?

Possible Changes
Soon I am going to be introducing a new NPC into my campaign and would like all of your opinions on this before I make some drastic changes. My current campaign I am running is a monster hunter style campaign with a party that hails from a small town in Mordent. While they were away on one of their ...

Any other changes I need to know about the Ancient Dead? Though this doesn't answer your question, I recommend giving him a salient ability from VRG to the Walking Dead like Bend the Land or something hehe. That will make for a fun encounter. It's interesting you mentioned that option. I had origin...

I was going to post this elsewhere, but rather than start a whole new thread on a similar topic, I'll just list it here. I currently only have the 3.0 core book. I was looking at making an Ancient Dead for my group to face and as I started looking I noticed that Rank one ancient dead are only a +1 c...
