Re: Night of the Walking Dead
One of my players is an scholar, when they met Mordu's he was really interested in his books and made something similar. He found a geographical info mostly, rivers, lakes, mountains, types of Fauna and Flora. Most Gazetteers have this kind of information. Government and political rulers (Non Darklo...

Re: Help with Death Unchained Intro
How dare you do something to reduce the monotony of their gaming experience! XD, hahaha. I'll use the Darkling approach. Guess I'll have to work with the mists once more. Maybe a heavy rain (one of those that blur the sight of all the things ahead.) We play tonight, but they still have to deal with...

Re: Help with Death Unchained Intro
There's also the possibility of moving the adventure to a different domain. One of Nova Vaasa's cities, for example, could make a good stand-in for Lekar if your demi-humans balk, or perhaps Teufeldorf or Zeidenberg in the former Gundarak (while it might not be Azalin's best plan to have the Ebon F...

Re: Help with Death Unchained Intro
They are in good terms with the Zarovan in Tser Falls, they helped the paladin with the Lycanthropy, so they repaid them with their aid in the Evil Eye Plot. The problem with the Rescue a Vistani hook is that they are starting to think of them as a Cab Service...something I want to evade too. I hea...

Re: Help with Death Unchained Intro
They still have to fight the corrupted cleric and his Zombie son.(EtCR) I was thinking to add some kind of connection with this cleric and the Ebon Fold...or the Kargat. Maybe in his desperate need to revive his son, he was contacted by someone of these factions with promises of reviving his son, an...

Re: Help with Death Unchained Intro
Hehe, wish it was so easy as just have them go to Falkovnia. The Party roster: Human Paladin of the Morning Lord, Half-Vistani Bard, Half-Elf Ranger, and Human Fighter. Right now they are in Barovia solving a zombie infestation problem, based on the first part of the Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. ...

Help with Death Unchained Intro
Hi, Obviously the Fraternity is the best place to ask so... I'm looking for some advice or ideas to introduce the players into the Death Unchained (also the Grim Harvest :azalin: ) without recurring to the funeral scene and the Mists kidnap since they are currently natives of the dread realm (and be...

Re: Comments/suggestions on Jester's rules (5e)
Some players usually want to play the vampire type character. Maybe a Dhampir race? or Vryloka?

Re: Campaigns with Undead PCs, Low magic
Fourth Edition has the revenaunt PC race, which essentially slaps the undead template on an existing PC race. That being said, I'm going to chime in with Dion and HuManBing here. You may want to consider a different system from D&D. 4th (Essentials) also has the "Vampire" as Class and...

Re: Campaigns with Undead PCs, Low magic
Wow...undead campaigns without making a mess... I see it quite hard Guides like the "Libris Mortis" and "Ghostwalk" could help you a bit. both are of 3.0/3.5 edition. Not sure, but I think Libris Mortis had rules for Wight, Ghoul, Morgh and Mummy...as class levels if I recall. Gh...

Re: Midway Haven Observatory presents: TWISTED ORIGINS
These are very useful backgrounds, complete with personality traits. Simply awesome. Would you create more?
Question: How do the Wolfkin BG interact with Werewolves and Wolfweres? How is the relationship with these? Their encounters are always hostile, unfriendly or neutral?

Re: 5e announced!
I think Ravenloft fits perfectly in 5ed. There are many tools for role play and I strongly believe that offers a lot of space for Improvisation without drowning in a bunch of rules. The DM holds the reins once more! 5e had a feel very similar to 2e which make the adaptation of the modules more easie...
