Re: LFG Classic Ravenloft Campaign
I’m thinking about 4 hours every Sunday night, EST. Players would need the rulebook for whichever edition is being used as well as a campaign setting book (PDF’s are easily acquired at Drivethrurpg). So for example, let’s say we get a group together and settle on the 3.5 rules. A player, then, could...

Re: LFG Classic Ravenloft Campaign
Well, when I say milestone leveling, I’m specifically referring to using 5E rules. AD&D has much slower leveling than 5E as a matter of course, so I’m not worried about that.

LFG Classic Ravenloft Campaign
I’m interested in getting an online game going in the Classic Ravenloft setting (NOT the new book, and of course, some current player races wouldn’t be available as PC races, like Dragonborn, Tiefling, etc.), and I was wondering if anyone else here was interested in doing the same, either as players...

What Arcane Tradition would Gennifer Weathermay-Foxgrove be?
So now that all Wizards are essentially Specialist Wizards from prior editions, what do you think Gennifer Weathermay-Foxgrove's specialty would be? I ask because I'm writing the sisters up using 5th edition stats for fun, and I'm not sure what to choose for Gennifer. So what do you folks think? Tha...

Re: Favorite Darklord
Lord Soth. I wish he'd stayed in the setting rather than getting removed.

Selling my Ravenloft Collection
I've posted a number of Ravenloft books and boxed sets on my eBay sale page, and will be adding more later. So if you're interested in any of this, please check it out. I've lost my job and need to pay the rent, so it's very important to me that all this stuff gets sold. Thank you. Here's my eBay st...

Re: 5e announced!
I'm looking through my copy of the PHB and pretty pleased with it so far. I was wondering what people thought of its use for Ravenloft, though, by itself and in comparison to other editions of D&D. Do you think the 5E rules will go well with Ravenloft, and how would you rank them up against AD&a...

Re: 5e announced!
Well, some elements to 5E... - Reduced number of spells in comparison to 3E counterparts. A 20th Level Cleric can cast 56 spells and a 20th-Level Wizard can cast 40 spells in 3E. In 5E, they cast 15 and 19, respectively. - Spellcasters, however, have access to Cantrips. Essentially "At-Will&quo...

Yep, they're not too bad. +2 Str, +1 Con, Advantage on Charisma checks to Intimidate, and Darkvision.

If so, I WANTS IT!!!
So any chance you can e-mail it to me? I'm talking some old friends into trying out the playtest and I think it'd be neat to play a converted Ravenloft adventure.

Ah, I really need to pay more attention to my e-mail, then. I didn't find one until a little while ago, at which point I wrote a 500 word reply in that tiny little box they provide.

How're you supposed to submit playtest results, anyway? I can't seem to find any means. Am I missing something obvious, here?

Re: D&D Next
Yeah, the A/E/D/U mechanic was terrible for martial classes. It made no sense why a Fighter could only make a certain kind of attack once per day. I also despised Martial "healing" courtesy of the Warlord. You essentially have a guy who just suffered a sucking chest wound and is bleeding o...
