Great for intimidating your action figures and teaching children the concept of mob rule.

half-demon/devil/insert lower planar creature name here (a la AD&D MMII Cambion) and other such critters were meant as NPCs to use as foes of the heroes. Check out the Planescape Campaign Setting boxed set from 2nd edition. Tieflings were a PC race there. Dragons were a PC race in Council of Wy...

But thats my opinion.

True enough, but the point is still the same. Using something like a multiclass only class to represent the more powerful of the Dhampir abilities. I think it'd be pretty neat, myself.

I can't wait til the Forgotten Realms Player's Guide comes out, because of the introduction of a "multiclass only" class. I'm dying to see what that entails, though I've got a pretty good idea of what that might mean. I bring that up because that might be a good way to have a Dhampir PC. M...

For all his bluster, Vlad Drakov I has never actually led any of his armies on their invasions. Hah, that's a great one. Particularly because it's true, but for not the reason (cowardice) that the rumor mongers claim. Poor Drakov. As if it weren't bad enough that he can't conquer any territory. Who...

 I don't know what it is, but as I was flipping through my old ragged AD&D PHB, I got a sudden urge to play AD&D again, at least for a few games. :D

It isn't D&D unless my 5th-level Paladin (Human of course. A demihuman Paladin? Who's heard of such a thing?) with a 18/76 Str has a THAC0 of 14, his bastard sword has a Speed Factor of 6 (8 when used two-handed), and he needs to roll an 11 or better to save versus attacks made with a Rod, Staff...

Although the counter-argument to that would be, if they're jailers, then why do they imprison the good along with the evil? Plenty of paragons of goodness have been dragged off by the Mists. Not to mention all the innocent people who're being preyed upon by the horrors the Dark Powers have imprisone...

Yep. Think of that as a BAB. Every class gets the same progression, with a +1 every two levels.

I'm reading the Player's Handbook as we speak and was wondering do you get 1 each of at will, encounter, and daily powers per level? Nope. The chart on page 29 of the PHB explains it. You only ever get two At-Will Powers (unless you're human, in which case you get three). At 1st-level you also get ...

This very aspect that makes it more enjoyable for players I can see making a DMs life a nightmare and quite complicated. Now if a DM wants to make NPCs for the group to fight, they have to worry about the NPCs weapons, skills, feats, magic items, and gear like before, but also their spells, prayers...

I very much doubt that if/when Ravenloft is published, that it'll be reengineered to fit the Points of Light concept to a veritable tee. While I think it's more suited to that concept than most of the other settings, that doesn't mean that the elements which don't fit into that mold will be forced t...

I downloaded the demo for Battlegrounds and went and bought the full version of Fantasy Grounds, and so far I'm liking Battlegrounds better, and regretting the $46 I spent on Fantasy Grounds. I'm gonna see about joining a game, though, to see how it actually plays. Sadly, it isn't as easy as Battleg...
