Re: Get your gp ready. We're embarking on a new venture!

Reminds me of the time the Kargatane announced they were going to start charging for message board use.

Re: Claude's Curse?

Yeah I realize it is a bit, but I don't know sometimes I think having some overlap but a bit of a twist on those things is okay.

Re: Introductory Campaign Help

The who's and Why's are always the trickiest part. You could always go with the father was a good scape goat for a criminal group that really had nothing to do with him. This works for an easy solution and gives a sense of "sometimes bad things happen to good people". This also has the ben...

I don't know whether to hate you all for this or love you all for this. I got the free PDF and OMG this game looks and feels awesome. Now I of course will be looking to run this soon. Wow this is a good idea...

Re: Introductory Campaign Help

I have to say that is a very creative scenario and one I might draw inspiration from in the future. My one concern that I would consider would be making sure that the child is not overly victimized or evil because if your girlfriend likes childen it could be a hard pill to swallow. As far as fleshin...

Re: Claude's Curse?

We know that Claude is a domineering and manipulative individual and while this is "normal" for wererats, he might have been even more prone to these type of actions. Now if he was human, then we could surmise that he either A: he is domineering and manipulative out of fear (most likely of...

Re: Players seeking PbP Games / PbP DMs seeking players

I am very interested in finding pbp game to join and am kicking around the idea of starting one myself. I have a lot of experience with play by post gaming so I understand the flow of it and can commit to at least one post a day. I don't mind taking over a unplayed character or making a whole new on...

Re: Coming Back and Looking for Inspiration

Okay I really like the idea of the husband making one of the children sick on purpose and that eventually causing the death of the child but the child returns as a ghost taunting the mother for not keeping them safe and protecting them from what their father was doing. Slowly this constant torment d...

Re: Vampires.

I honestly think that your best off just making your own decisions here. While the rule books mentioned can give you some inspiration I can't think of anything that actually allows vampires to walk around in the daylight as vampires. Good luck though, and LOVE the fact you still play 2E!

Re: Coming Back and Looking for Inspiration

I totally agree with that sentiment and I think a haunting is a great idea and is just what I am looking for. Okay a bit of a brianstorm just hit (thank you!) so let me kind of throw something out there and people can chime in if they so desire. I currently live in New England, and it has a very old...

Re: So..... Dracov's dead.

Bit of a late comer to the thread (love what you have going on in your campaign by the way) but thought I would chime in with an answer to your question. To Date I have ran aprroximately ten Ravenloft campaigns that have lasted long enough to be considered actual campaigns. In those ten campaigns my...

Coming Back and Looking for Inspiration

So, because life is well.. life I haven't been keeping up with the boards here the way I would have liked. You all know how it is. One day you have all the tie in the world and then the next turns into a couple of years later and you are like "Whoa! Where did the time go." Anyway I am back...

Re: This looks very familiar

Wow I haven't visited these forums for a while and this is the first thread I check out.. Not sure but I might have failed a horror check (or would it be madness?) no matter what edition of the rules you are using....
