Re: VRG to aliens + VRG to ogres and hags

My second suggestion - it VRG to ogres and hags. In generic fantasy ogres are strong, but stupid creatures, foe for beginners heroes, and few suitable for a gothic horror. However, in the legends of Wells and Cornwall ogres are very different from the fantasy-canon. More like the creatures in the DND...

VRG to aliens + VRG to ogres and hags

I had an interesting idea. Some time ago the RL-community issued VRG-netbook of doppels. I propose to try to release a new netbooks in VRG-series. My first proposal is inspired by the recent XCOM and domain Bluetspur. Vampires live not only in Barovia, werewolves live not only in Verbrek. The theme ...

Re: Dark «Experience points»(Highlander style RL)

In DND RPG dragons can fly (in the real laws of physics it is impossible) I apologize for the inaccuracy. According to the laws of aerodynamics wings of dragons can fly only in the backward mode. However, the correct example of this flight, I've only seen in the legendary Russian cartoon "Nu P...

Re: Mirror Images

Unfortunately I was in car accident and was in hospital for a long time. At the moment I'm afraid of cars and doctors :( During my illness I watched the movie "Blade Runner" Therefore, the next object is Lamordia To begin with, I decided to seriously rework the story of a doctor Mr. In Fr....

Re: Burning of haunted house

Unfortunately, real life was worse than any horror story.
One of the worst fires in history came after an unsuccessful attempt to burn the cursed robe.

Re: Is Ravenloft really that bad a place to live?

Many of the monsters from the medieval legends are much stronger that in DND game. For example the vampires of Slavic legends are not afraid of the sun. In Stoker's "Dracula" Count calmly walks around London during the daylight, and that afternoon met Mina. The first vampire not tolerate t...

Re: Is Ravenloft really that bad a place to live?

Oh, almost forgot to delirium tremens - in the Middle Ages it was very dangerous. Grim example: The story of "The Great Pan" Arthur Machen taken from an Irish legend. It saved a peasant fairy, fallen into the web. She asked him what he wants as a reward. He wished to see the world of fairi...

Fail with Horror Checks (plz help)

All the moments associated with the emotions should be as small as possible and linked to game mechanics or game stats. The master is not in any case should not dictate emotions. The official RL product says that if the player is scared and he good roleplay horror - horror checks not needed. Otherw...

Fear of unknown (plz help for beginner)

"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." - H.P. Lovecraft I decided to test this theory. For the sample I took horror samples in which many unknowns - Blair Witch Project and Willows Blackwood. http://en.wikipe...

Re: Dark «Experience points»(Highlander style RL)

This was another thing I tried very hard to rationalize, because I wanted my RPGs to be grittier and more realistic than DnD. In DND RPG dragons can fly (in the real laws of physics it is impossible), undead skeleton can walk without leg muscles, can see without eyes, can speak without tongue. Gene...
