Re: Planescape Torment is back!

There was a little crowd doing a lovely Neverwinter Nights 2, Torment inspired three part campaign. Can't remember their name for the life of me.

Calendar in the Core

I've noticed that there is calendar in the Mausoleum on the site. I also notice it is the traditional Jan-Dec months and traditional days per month. Is it ever mentioned anywhere in the fluff if the calendar in the core (or most used calendar in the core) is any different? The core doesn't Mournvemb...

Re: Ravenloft Ambiance and Gaming Props.

I'm just going to post my current playlist for my campaign, The Illusionist OST - Phillip Glass (good and evocative without being too dynamic and ruining the mood.) Ghosts I - IV - Nine Inch Nails (a series of shortish instrumentals, some work quite well; but you have to dig around the 36 tracks.) T...

Re: Creating a new Paladin spell.

Looks kind of weak, actually, to me. You give up 1 round to cast the spell, then 1 round to use it. In those same two rounds, you could have done a smite evil on the first round and a lay on hand touch attack the second round. Unless I'm missing something, the only benefits are: Fair Point. Maybe a...

Re: Creating a new Paladin spell.

I say allowing you to channel lay on hands through a weapon is fine, but I wouldn't allow such damage to multiply on a crit ( much like sneak attack dice). Maybe move it down to a 3rd level spell if the above changes are made.

Re: Looking for Out of Print Material?

I've used noble knight games before thanks to a suggestion on here. Great service and fairly quick turn around.

Ultimate Magic in Playtest (Pathfinder)

What does everyone think of the Magus so far. Seems an ok balance so far, but has the problem of not enough touch spells being about as yet. There are more touch spells to be added with Ultimate Magic, but it's hard to see what paizo are getting at without all the pieces in place. Good to see there ...

Re: (Mistfinder) Witches Patrons

Just to mirror my comments on the Paizo board. I've been looking at the witch recently and come to some of the same conclusions, but I think that a familiar refusing spells is a bit too harsh. If you remove the main class feature from the class, players aren't having fun. I think that assigning some...

Right so, printed out the supplied map as an A0 print. It's turned out very well and is going on my wall for games.

Re: Cut Scenes: Does anyone use them?

The Call of Cthulhu D20 rulebook has a great section on using cinematic techniques in horror in the GM section. It might not be to everyone's taste but it's good reading.

I used to use them quite a bit while running Call of Cthulhu and In Nomine.

Re: map of Ravenloft's core

Does anyone have High quality versions of the Gryphon Hill core maps? The ones on the website are great.I have access to a plotter in work and would like to do a large print of the core and the resolution on the current maps is not great on a large print. A while back did, I did with the CC2 softwa...
