Re: Pathfinder : Mistfinder Pdf

As mentioned elsewhere (GM Binder thread I think), I like having the core books in dead tree format for exactly the reasons Don Fernando stated but there is just no reason to have 50 supplements stacked to the ceiling when a thumb drive does that job just fine. It is actually sort of nice to know t...

Re: Pathfinder : Mistfinder Pdf

All the core books I've bought so far are of fine quality and it always looks nice on a shelf to have a complete line. But I do very much respect the policy of paizo to but all core books on pdf for the mere cost of $10.

Re: Mistfinder: Pathfinder in Ravenloft

I'm back working on this project after a short break. A revised version adding in the basic APG material (base classes, archetypes, alternate racial features and racial favored class options) is the current plan. What do people think of the firearms rules currently in playtest over at Paizo? http://...

Re: Pathfinder : Mistfinder Pdf

I'm working on this again after a bit of a break, picking up all the errata for a revised edition. I'm also working on the APG material. I'll be working on the Ultimate material when it is fully out of playtest.

Re: My personal system

Interesting stuff. I love playing around with systems and house rules. Would people be interested in sharing their house rules and reading others? When writing the Mistfinder Pathfinder conversion I try to stick as close to the core system as possible so other people can use it easily, but I have so...

FWIW, this entire issue would be made much simpler if you modeled armor as a DR mechanism instead of a hit chance mechanism.
The d20 Song of Ice and Fire RPG had a good simple enough system for this. A good read.

Re: Update on the Ravenloft Board Game

Finally picked this up. It's not at all like the setting, but a great game. You fear encounters and it can be tough. You get a good amount of stuff in one box, GMs who use minis will love it.

Re: Gunslinger class for Pathfinder

I've read the class in full and associated rules. It needs a lot of tweeking, but it's on the right track. I don't think the touch attack thing is not going to be too much of a big deal, the class is based on fighter and as such they were going to be reliably hitting anyway. The misfire rules seem r...

Re: Words can kill

Something of interest for mechanical flavor, might be the pathfinder Words of Power system. More or less the pathfinder magic system has been rebuilt to use words as the basis for your spells. It's currently in a free playtest for those interested.

Re: running first adventure looking for advice

All that said, I believe Darkon is a good starting point - just bear in mind, that your PCs will lose their memories if they stay there for longer than 3 months (after 1d3 months, if I remember correctly). If you don't want that, the other domains bordering on Falkovnia are also good starting point...

Re: What do you expect from 4E?

Some of my wish list, - Much like the start of the Darksun Campaign setting for 4e, a paragraph detailing what you shouldn't really play in ravenloft. Essentially a no orcs and dragonborn paragraph. - I 'd love to see a combined core, different from the disparate domains floating in the shadowfell. ...

Re: Ravenloft Anime Characters

I want to make myself a gallery of Ravenloft anime pictures, so I am looking for anime figures looking like RL famous characters, darklords and heroes: Strahd, Mallochio and Gabrielle, Van Richten, George and the sisters Weathermay-Foxgrove, Isolde, the Gentleman Caller, and all the others. The mor...

Re: Personal Canon

In my Ravenloft, there is the Church-staffed mainly by Experts who maintain the lands, copy books, etc. Most of the good gods are worshiped as saints by the Church, the Morninglord taking up the mantle Sts Cosmo and Damian held in the Orthodox churches, Ezra filling in for the Virgin Mary, who supp...

There's a nice homage to that twillight zone episode in Fallout 3. Might be worth a look, it has the same flavour.
