- At the moment, the 'science' of elementalism is still largely restricted to University research departments, but the general knowledge of how to summon and bind powerful elementals has been expanding by leaps and bounds over the last fifty years, with one of the more recent discoveries being that ...

I read Stoker's Dracula as being almost a serial rapist, possibly bisexual if one reads between the lines with his interactions with Jonathan. He was a Prince, General, etc. He's used to getting his own way, and with the women - the little thing known as consent doesn't matter to him, because sure t...

I haven't played recently however I been picking at it in my head. I had upped the Population like almost everyone else, made sea voyages easier to justify some of the trading, and I spread some tech around the domains so it's not a ren-era domain with pistols right next door to a medieval tech doma...

If there's a roll for simply lying, there should be a roll for the above. Lying only makes you roll a DPC if you maliciously lie with the intent of causing the person harm (aka, telling someone the bridge is safe or their drink is unpoisoned when it is very much not). I suspect the above examples f...

Anyone else thought of the Unseeing Eye cult from Baldur's Gate 2?

Change a few details and it's a lovecraftian cult.

Got Lady of Pain takes all, with her sounding beating Jarlaxle in the semi-final, and obliterating Strahd in the finals.

Frankly, I had Strahd vs. Soth in the Undead finals division, and Artemis and Jarlaxle in Monster and Legend (because honestly most of the monster and legends do not impress me)

Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha series

Anyone else here play the Shin Megami Tensei Series, especially the Raidou Kuzunoha games? There's a lot of interesting horror aspects, not to mention the monsters, some are quite disturbing, or nightmare-inducing that would be fun to stat and throw at an unsuspecting party. But I'm going to talk mo...

It was a place in the Order of the Radiant Heart for the Paladin Class in Baldur's Gate II, while Clerics gets a place with a Temple closet to their alignment (Lathander, Talos, and Helm). For my last game - I had a NPC (a Darkonese Renier who basically turned a family's old, unfashionably derelict ...

I like the idea he looks more like Punch - making him too Joker-like may be too distracting for the game depending on your group. Or you can make him something like a Gremlin in appearances, since they were sabotaging mischief-makers and considering he escaped from a vehicular prank gone wrong in ap...

Perhaps they may not be susceptible to other diseases, but could be carriers.

Avoid the Lycanthrope's dread bite, but hope whatever cattle that managed to escape an initial attack isn't infect with some communicable disease that's going to wipe out the entire herd.

It could be a plot kernel. the PCs having to work with another Lycanthrope in order to stop the rabid one from rampaging.

A few days ago I had this weird nightmare. I was sketching out a character (who is... what anime fans would call Yandere personality-wise but had this innocent look), I paused, turned to get an eraser, since the drawing wasn't turning out well, turn back - he was gone from the paper. I then hear a n...
