Re: Random hooks thread

In an isolated farming region in Falkovnia, all the crops have been contaminated by St Anthony's Fire and the food is running low. In one of the towns of this region (the one the PC's are in) people started to desperate a while back, so they gather all money and tradable items they could spare and s...

Re: Pathfinder in the Mists

Very nice work. I really like Misroi as an oracle. I would have thought that bard was a natural fit for Lemot Sediam Juste, why did you decide to go sorcerer? Did you consider the Maestro Bloodline for him? Maybe not the perfect thing, but might be a little smoother than leaving him a bloodline-less...

Re: Pathfinder in the Mists

Hey, don't think I have posted in the thread before, but I've been following, and loving it.
I use pathfinder in my campaign so this is pure gold. Thanks for doing this Ryan.

Anyways, if you're taking requests I would love to see Dr Rudolph Van Richten or Sodo.

Re: Horror stories in two sentences

I’ve told her that I’m sorry, but she keeps coming. She still has those cold blue eyes that drove me crazy. They make a stark contrast to the red speckled all over her.

That's a great idea and a fantastic clue, I'm definitely going to use it!

Any more of those you come up with?

Re: Introductory Campaign Help

Wow, thanks for all the replies and the support. So to give a little more background on this: My girlfriend character is halfling bard, an escaped slave from Falkovnia where she was a kind of handmaiden for her noble master's daughters (hence learning proper manners, entertaining skills and her stor...

Re: Introductory Campaign Help

First of all thanks for the replies guys, you rock. Well my idea was to make the child a sort of unwanting "villain" in the sense that his distress at losing his parent is what triggers the events. And that probably the solution to all the troubles would be making him feel happy and safe a...

Introductory Campaign Help

So, what do you know? My girlfriend has recently expressed interest in playing some tabletop rpg and I’m happy to oblige. The only problem is that I only have a few days to come up with an adventure and I want to make something special and, of course, something ravenlofty. My first thought was to ma...

Re: Beginner campaign in Darkon (possibly one-shot)

Well my questions are mostly about stuff like how did you stat Buksca, what kind of rules are you using for Nadia's and Vigo's relationship (and the powers it presents), what is it that Leila used to blow up the fort, etc. I'm also interested to know if you make rulings for all of this or you just k...

Re: Beginner campaign in Darkon (possibly one-shot)

Hey HMB! Just letting you know Im following this thread and that I think its great. I really like your DMing style and your take on the setting. I like the GURPS system but Im pretty unfamiliar with it. It would be really cool if you could post some stats just to see how you are handling things arou...

Re: Dreadpass encounters?

I could see a scene where the pc's enter a cave seeking shelter and find the remains of an older adventuring party. In the middle of the night one (or more) of the bodies reanimates as an ancient dead, right when an electric storm and it's acompanying blizzard are brewing. Fighting ensues, but the f...

Re: Ideas for a Demiplane-wide calamity?

One idea that just pops into my mind, as bad as it might be. Azalin can´t learn any new spells, but he has, in a way, acces to every mind in darkon. What if by controlling numerous wizards and combining their magical intelect and talent he could make them piece together a spell or ritual to leave th...

Re: A successful invasion of Darkon?

The second would piggyback off of Gonzoron's (?) suggestion of self-destruct necklaces. In the movie Dragonslayer this tactic is brought up - the dragon picks you up in its claws or mouth, at which point you use magical or chemical explosives to blow yourself up, and hopefully take it with you. The...

Hey Ryan! Just chiming in to say this thread is great, thanks for taking the trouble of letting us in on your conversion, really prime quality stuff. Im sure gonna be using some (or all) of this material in my own campaign. As for worthy ideas for the topic, I was thinking maybe you could do some ge...
