I was really blindsided by Sixth Sense, Fight Club and The Ring. Normally I spot the villain way off in the beginning but these movies completely suprised me. This is why I like them so much. I agree, the ending of the Ring seemed pointless. What good is a ghost story if the ghost can't be put to re...

I am really enjoying your campaign. It is fast paced and well written enough to be really entertaining.

Keep up the good work. I can't wait for the next session.

That bit seriously freaked me out as well. I suppose I'm just naturally predisposed to trust authority figures (aside from politicians, they're just evil).

I would like to try Ravenloft in d20 Modern rules for one reason: The class structure. In standard D&D a class suggests a life. For instance: A ranger is a outdoorsy type who hates a specific type of creature. To make him anything else takes vast amounts of effort and feels artificial anyway. th...

All time scariest moment in a movie was the "crawling out of the TV" bit on the Ring. To fully comprehend how terrifying this was, you have to understand that my little sister bears a disturbing resemblance to "evil Ring girl" (can't remember her name). That scene gave me the cra...

I really liked your campaign. The idea to use fairy tales is brilliant! I will be grabbing that.

I also enjoyed the small town feel, as gonzoron mentioned. Its a refreshing approach.

Well done.

While Hazlan is mostly Turkish, I always thought there were slight overtones of the Dutch Afrikaaners to it; the tiny minority of pale-skinned Mulan ruling over the majority of laboring, darker-skinned Rashemani. That could just be me reaching, but it's how I read it. Firstly, it Afrikaaners not Du...

I am a Christian. Denomination doesn't really mean much to me. I suppose you could summarise my beliefs by saying that I take the Bible as being the truth (ie: Bible says the earth was created in seven days, ergo the earth was created in seven days). Simple, but effective. Mostly I believe that love...

I use 3.5 ed. I liked what they did to the ranger and monk as well some of the spells that wetre tweaked. I pretty much use the SRD and 3.0 PHB to figure my way out.

I just picked up Arcana Unearthed and I really like it. May switch to that soon.

Lots of role-players but it is very, very hard to get books. Postage from the US or Europe is steep and the exchnage rate sucks.

Definitely velvet gloves. I come up with a detailed world. I come up with a detailed (and i do mean DETAILED) villain. Then I let him react to what the players are doing. I let him react to what is happening in the world. I occasionally come up with a few location non-specific cool scenes and let th...

From reading this topic I can see that some of you have had experiences with the supernatural. I have been puzzling about the second experience I had for 3 years. Can anyone suggest what that was?

The other experience I had was in a whole different category of scary. I had just left high school and a group of my friends and I had gone to a small resort town for a celebratory holiday. We had spent a few days there and were having a great time. One night I decided to take my girlfriend for a ro...
