Ugh. That was one of the things I'm least happy with in the Falkovnia material. I really wish I'd cut that, especially since it was a leftover bit from a scrapped section on Falkovnian beliefs about the afterlife. Hm... so at one point you were sort of seeing the Falkovnians as thinking of their af...

Ooooohh ... After what Alhoon said, I suddenly had this idea: what about an Underdark where the fantasy elements are heavily impaired? Instead of areas where magic becomes wild and unpredictable, you have pockets of dead magic, meaning that any kind of supernatural power becomes extremely difficult ...

I can see how such a secret society would become a prime target for very clever women with nasty agendas of their own. A red widow or an ermordenung with military training could probably do some interesting things there ...

That's a relief. Somehow, it's always so difficult to get good healing on a team ... ^^;

Doesn't the Redhead feat allow you to cast one divine spell per day? What if she has it and it allows her to cast Cure minor wounds, except she had trouble concentrating, so couldn't use it in time?

Bane's Marvelous Clockwork Canes. Second specimen: Dragon Cane. Conversation heard outside the Old Kartakan Inn: "Why thank you, milord, I am glad to hear you enjoyed my performance just now. [...] Oh, yes? You've heard of me? From whom, dare I ask? [...] Ah, yes. One of my discerning customers...

Clockwork canes

Presenting, for your entertainment and possibly your use: Bane's Marvelous Clockwork Canes! First specimen: Trap Cane. From the verbal report of Kargat agent Sfelzane, taken at the temple of the Overseer hospital: "By the time we'd arrived at the suspect's hideout, he'd already made a run for t...

Alternatively, you could slap the half-fey template on her and give her a heritage feat that lets her do something magical. Calculate the level adjustment for being half-fey, give her a heritage feat and add ranks in any class you favor, leading up to Knight of the Shadows. Anyone could then have sp...

And an idea for a horribly evil spell is born! Dark Erasure : by casting this spell and sacrificing an Innocent, a darkling can erase his/her scars ... but the price is that the darkling will rise after death as a horrible monster - and a monster of that same type will stalk the darkling through li...

To Georg and NeoTiamat: Why not try to tweak the Mechanist class from DragonStar a little to fit Ravenloft? That's a core class with a solid scientific background.

I just came up with a killer idea ... o_o What if either the bride or the groom had a child from an ill-advised fling? Their families would have spirited the child away right after the birth, supposedly to be adopted by good folks 'for its own good'. But instead, they killed it. Now, the poor child ...

An interesting question would be why a darkling would be keeping this shameful sign? Because it's the last thing he or she has that is fully of their people, who have now cast the darkling out? Love it or hate it, we all want something to remind us of our past, where we came from. It's one of the t...

That sort of makes sense, too. From a character viewpoint, Azalin wanted Irik to be an effective ruler for the good of Knurl. This is a laudable goal. However, he did so by being a tyrannical and cruel father - this is a not so laudable ends. Azalin then sought lichdom when his son died. Again, the...

I'd be interested. Do you take applications from newbies? I might not be able to post every day, but I'd check back frequently whenever I can. As a character concept, I'm thinking either wizard or bard - please let me know which would be more welcome. What are the rules for character creation?
