I recommend that Van Riese do something what Davy Jones would do in Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3. IIRC, VR continually blames his crew, so maybe he tries continually to replenish his crew. After all, The Relentless is the Flying Dutchman of RL.

Possibly. To be honest, I only patrol this board and the fanfic board. If the mods want to move it, I have no problem with it, just let me know.

Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes Vol. 1-3—It is said that hero (or superhero) is defined by his or her villains. While many of the villains in this series version border on comical, Doctor Doom is always a great source for a villain template—he’s a genius, narcissistic, arrogant, vain, and h...

My DVD collection for your inspiration.

I draw inspiration for adventures (RL & non-) from a variety of sources--primarily from movies and TV. Inspired by "The Movies You Should See For Inspiration For Ravenloft" (Whew!) webpages, I've decided to present my DVD collection to my fellow darklord gamers for general perusal. I'm...

I like'em. Shouldn't Tristan/Malken be a flip card (as intro'd in Kamigawa) with a damage trigger?

much more balanced now. Trouble is that like the ranger, it's so dependant on the DM choosing the right kinds of foes. It would be gamebreaking if every adventure featured a vampire, and the other party members would be totally outshined. And it would be super disappointing if there were no vampire...

Did you also read the short story in Tales of Ravenloft that features the HH? Id' very much like to incorporate that into the conversion. Also i can't shake the cool images from Sleepy Hollow. I also feel that a lance distracts from the beheading aspect. Further I'm questioning wether a sickle is i...

Version 1.5

I like the concept a lot. A whole lot. Very clever, and not something I've seen in any of the roughly 10 billion vampire stories out there. But, the rules could use a little work. With an LA of 0 and no downside, why wouldn't anyone take this template if his GM allowed, just in case? I see why you'...

Drakov's son and the curse you suggest is an upgrade over Ivana, the bard and the bloodbath. And they only complaints I would level at take on the headless horseman is the use of a lance and the power to have fleeing individuals sink up to their waist. The first distracts from the threat of being b...

March 5, 753 BC Finally! After nearly nine months as a prisoner, I have managed to retrieve my possessions and escape the city of Xican. My last entry was cut short because apparently my inquiries into Kysera, the city’s “lost princess,” weren’t discrete enough and I had attracted the attention of t...

Writer's block is going away (but not gone). I'm finding the balance between work and home, so I should be able to get more entries soon. This latest one is just a teaser as it will represent a big jump in the timeline (to match my time away from the story).

A new template for vampire hunters:

From the dreams in my head to this post--I present to you--the Reflection template. When an individual becomes a vampire or a vampire spawn, the individual’s reflection disappears. Most sages attribute this to the mirror is a reflection of one’s soul and a vampire has lost its soul. Few sages wonder...
