Re: Ravenloft is back in 5e?

And that's something that stuck with me. I never bought Beast: The Primordial because of its terrible reviews, I've not bought Tasha's because of the mixed reviews. I've become more discerning when it comes to buying something and wait to see how it's received. It's why I'm not buying the new Werew...

I confess I hadn't thought about doing any other NPCs, but since you asked, I took a shot at this:

Re: Heroforge Ravenloft

Celia Whitmoor got her start in Stu Turner's campaign, I believe. I'm not sure if his campaign journal is still available anywhere, but it was a classic. Mangrum later wrote her up in the Book of Souls netbook, and as the Kargatane went on to write much of the 3e books, they promoted her to canon b...

Oh, I suppose since she technically was canon for a minute... Celia Whitmoor

Re: The Kargatane: Where are they now?

I still poke my head in here once in a blue moon, but it's been two editions since my "era," so these days I don't really have too much to say. I fell out of RPGs as a hobby for a while, but Pathfinder eventually pulled me back into GMing. I dipped my toe back into writing professionally a...

Steve Miller Could Use Some Help

Not certain that is the right forum to post this in, but: Former Kargat Steve Miller (Domains of Dread along with numerous other credits) has run into a bad patch, including an expensive recent hospital stay. Steve and the other members of the Ravenloft design team at TSR were, aside from their work...

Re: CONFIRMED: Ravenloft for 5th Edition

<----- Very jealous of Mangrum , but even more crazy jealous of the other players at that table, who get to play IN Chris Perkins' game WITH John Mangrum. :lucas: Who are the other players? Tracy Hickman? Steve Miller? Cindi Rice? ;) It's Adventurers League; I'm just a guy who bought a ticket. :)

Re: Ravenloft Golems and Apparatus problem

I'm honestly too lazy to go downstairs and check right now, but I'm pretty sure that in 3E we included two methods of creating constructs: 1) The normal method, which is incredibly expensive and requires potent magical character resources, but which produces "normal" constructs. ( Monster ...

Gary Con is coming up this week. Chris Perkins will be running a Ravenloft adventure as part of the Adventurers League. And I will be one of the players at the table!

Re: 3e Van Richten stats

I don't want to open another post just for a simple question. So since I was looking for van Richten's character sheet I went here, but then I realized that I have no clue about what his actual story is. Is there any place where I could read his story/biography/something (without having to read all...

Re: Ravenloft Artbook of Talon Dunning

I tend to picture the Weathermay twins as resembling actor Madchen Amick, but as I recall I did not include that "headcanon" detail in the description and fashion sketch I sent to the developers. I'm doublechecking the sketch (posted 5 years ago in this thread, if you want to see it) and, ...
