Captain Sylus Andropov

Captain Sylus Andropov commanded the Wayfarer. Audaciously, he sailed her upon the Nocturnal Sea in the years when the body of water was still cloaked by the Mists. The Wayfarer sailed out of Egertus and was wrecked on a rock of the Rocky Shoals in the Nightmare Lands in 748 BC. Andropov, his crew, and a party of adventurers survived the the disaster and escaped back to Nova Vaasa. Captain Andropov had a son named Aylor Andropov, and was a victim of the Nightmare Court, leading him to become a friend and patient of Dr. Gregorian Illhousen.

Sylus and his nightmares are detailed in The Loathsome Deep, the third module included in the Nightmare Lands: Book of Nightmares, in which the player characters travel inside Sylus' trouble nightmares and alleviate him of the influence of an ennui serving Morpheus. Domains of Dread records the efforts to free Sylus as successful in the year 748 BC.[1]
