The Straw God[1] is a minor nature spirit akin to a dryad. It grew in power over the years however, thanks to the veneration it received from a small group of witches. It was revered for its ability to grant fertility to the crops, but always demanded human sacrifice in return. The spirit was able to almost entirely dominate the small village of Goldendale before its physical form was destroyed by a group of adventures.
Current rumors suggest that the Straw God may be in the process of reforming its cult[2].

The Straw God is connected to a withered witch hazel,sole remnant of an ancient forest.
