A Mist Weird is unique for a mist-spawned creature, while it is evil it generally does not attack or engage in combat. It also can act as a benevolent source of information -- some of the time.^[1] Just as with any other Mist Creature, mist weirds seem to be motivated by a Craving, in this case being prophecy and oracular function.^[2] Mist weirds are rumored to help those seeking assistance and seem to show a particular interest in justice.^[3]

Appearance

A mist weird appears as a wild-eyed but tall and beautiful woman composed of partially traslucent fog undulating in mesmerizing circles. A mist weird's lower body consists of a coil of fog stretching from the 40 ft. fog bank that always surrounds the mist weird.^[4]

Habitat/Society

Mist weirds exist only in the Mists, and are extremely rare at that. They would be an invaluable source of information detailing anything concerning the past, present, or future -- if they weren't completely insane by mortal standards. Their thoughts and emotions operate on an entirely different level than humanity's, their decisions are based on even more incomprehensible foundations.^[4]

It is difficult to harm or even attack a Mist Weird, and while they tend to flee and not fight back, they have a surprisingly powerful arsenal at their disposal, which makes fighting one a rather bad idea. Darklords and other powerful beings have attempted to catch one, which has proven nearly impossible.^[4]
