Herrd ApKie (b. 512 BC/1901 Forfarian Calendar as Herrold ApKie)[1] is one of the oldest living goblyns living in Forlorn, having come from the original brood molded from Forfarian human stock. He leads the largest of the goblyn clans and is tougher than most other goblyns. Unlike most other goblyns, Herrd can't be controlled telepathically by Tristen ApBlanc due to a ring of mind shielding Herrd wears at all times. He has been plotting to take control of the goblyn clans.[2]
Herrd's favored weapon is a sword of wounding.[3] He is listed as one of the Clan ApBlanc in the Clan ApBlanc (Book).[1]

Herrd only recently discovered a way to suppress the telepathic control of Tristen ApBlanc. A hag named Tassinggame has provided him with magic warpaint that breaks the telepathic bond.[4]
