The gwytune is one of the Lesser Breeds of the Arak. (Note that "lesser" here means fewer in number and political power). As such, gwytunes are rare among the Shadow Fey. They act (and cast spells as) wizards and are preoccupied with acquiring arcane knowledge and power. Usually Lawful Neutral in alignment, they may ally themselves with either the Unseelie Court or the Seelie Court.^[1]

Beyond spellcasting, a gwytune has the Alternate Form ability to shapecnange into sheep or goats. They are resistant to weapons not made of copper, but, like other shadow fey, are harmed by the powers of true sunlight.^[1]

Descriptive Text

"He is a kidnapper, a slaver," I told the ram-horned man. "He is a murderer many times over, he killed my mother before my eyes."

"I cannot take part in a religious dispute," he said, shaking his head slowly. "I am totally unacquainted with your respective dogmas and can hardly help you resolve this sort of question."

I despaired; but then my eyes fell to the book he held, as gently as if it were his own babe in arms. "He has committed book-murder," I said, staring the faerie in the eye. "Thousands of books he has burned."

"A fiend, a devil!" the ram-man exclaimed. "He must be brought to justice!"
