Out of all of the known types of liches, the Elemental Lich are the most closely tied to the Demiplane and arguably the most powerful type for it. They are able control the very elements of Ravenloft, that being mist, grave, blood, and pyre and either use these as a form of devastating physical attack or summon the spirits of each into battle. What is particularly dangerous about these creatures is their power over the Mists and the creatures that inhabit them.
One of the trade-offs for this power is a diminished ability to control undead as well as other liches are able to.
The Elemental Lich is able to become a Demilich, but where it moves onto from here is unknown, given its strong connection to the Demiplane.
