Noveau riche family who parleyed wealth into ownership of Blackburn's Crossing (along with a portion of the Arden River) and noble status. Famous for their interest in alchemy, they fled when public opinion turned against them in the wake of the Apparatus incident (579 BC). The family manor straddles the Arden River.
