This spell appears on the spell list of the cleric at the 6th level and of the sorcerer and and the wizard at the 7th level. The spell is known to have been cast on two occassion, neither resulting in success. A party led by Dr. Rudolph van Richten were wiped out save for the doctor himself by the fiend Drigor and Professor Pacali managed to trigger a bout of uncontrolled twisting when weilding the spell against the outsider and alleged fiend Isolde. When mystick cage first was described, it had to it more the air of being a ritual than of being a spell.
