Flumbar is a Darkonese elf. He holds together, with charm and ruthlessness, the thieves guild that Ezra commands. Ezra knows this and respects the competence of his lieutenant with whom he has worked for 55 years. Flumbart poses in public as a honest business man with a furniture business to run. He is all too glad to let his guards and his vampiric master do any necessary fighting, although he will defend himself if he cannot talk his way out any corner he should find himself in.
