The Dismal Four

The Dismal Four are four islands that afford the port of Rutledge a measure of shelter from the worst of the storms of the Nocturnal Sea. The smallest of the islands is also the nearest to the port and is the site of a lighthouse that was felled by a storm in 753 BC and remains to the present in its ruined state. The largest of the islands is, curiously, unexplored, although a local hermit by the name of Bill Copperplate is obsessed with put together an expedition to just that end.
