Heleneh Kerpatis is a beautifu Mulan woman who has been recently appointed vraylok, which is to say governor, of Sly-Var. As a dread possibility, she also heads a band of thieves that constitute the Sly-Var Thieves Guild. In this role she disguises herself with magic as the spidery male caliban Kemen Kerbasi. She enjoys the full support of Hazlik for she directs her band to prey upon smugglers and even to spy upon other governors. To keep up apperances she and her band collect protection money from Rashemani merchants.
