Yako Vormoff

This section contains canon info from officially published sources |
Yako Vormoff is a vassalich that resides in the Vale of Tears of Darkon, specifically the town of Karg. He was a servant of Azalin Rex[1] but now is working for Death as a member of the Unholy Order of the Grave.[2] Regardless of his current master, Yako holds command over a contingent of unusually sizedflesh golems,[3], causing great fright in Karg.[1]
Yako Vormoff is a specialist golemcrafter, specifically flesh golems. He devised the dread maggot golem, and the secret processes of its creation are known only to Yako himself and his cronies.[4] However, his levels in wizard seem much too low to make golems. {{Spec|It may be that he is a dread golemcrafter. However, this is unlikely, given that most dread golems eventually rebel against and kill their creators. In addition, he formerly worked for Azalin, whom is likely to be wary of dread golems.[5]
History
Yako Vormoff was a giorgio orphan adopted and raised by the Vistani, from where he learned skills as a performer and category:puppeteer. Yako eventually became estranged from his adoptive family and left home after offending one of the Vistani elders. The teenage Yako came to live on the mean streets of [{Karg]]. There he learned to become an expert in manipulation. He viewed pulling the strings of his pawns similar to pulling the strings of his puppets.[1]
Yako's manipulative talents eventually drew the attention of the Kargat, whom notified Azalin's. Azalin for a time tutored Yako in the dark arts before making him a vassalich, effectively binding Yako into eternal thralldom. During the period of Azalin's seeming absence following the Requiem, Yako became the "demilord" of the Vale of Tears[4], assuming control over said region.[3]
As of 750 BC, Yako's phylactery was lost to him and presumably laid somewhere beyond his grasp in the formidable Castle Avernus.[6][3]
