Summer The massacre at the Wedding of Sergei von Zarovich occurs.[1] Barovia forms as the first Ravenloft domain due the actions of Strahd von Zarovich.[2] Strahd turns into a vampire.[3][4]- 1738 Forfarian Calendar: On the anniversary of their murder, Donal MacFarn and the Ghosts of Hospitality possess the stones of Castle Forfarmax and kill the traitor Duncan MacFarn and his retinue of servants and guests, leaving Castle Forfarmax empty and abandoned for centuries.[5]
In 351 BC a comet shone in the Barovian sky during the fermenting season. Hence, the year is known as The Year of the Comet. Barovian Red, a local wine, marked the event with labels bearing the image of the comet.[6]
