Yrym-Sybarr is credited in the The Tyrahgaunt Text[1] with the creation of the goblyn race over 900 years ago. He is s recorded to have observed upon the completion of his endeavour, "Y have succeeded at the makying of a new race. Though the race ys only goblyns, they obey my whyms and delyght yn and desyre only wyckedness." He is described as being an archmagi.
