Ulvand River
Ulvand River cuts a path through the Graenseskov ("Borderwood"), roaring down the Howling Hills and into Nova Vaasa, its source being the eastern flanks of Terestrãu ("Mount Sawtooth"). The Ivlis River is joined from the south by the Ulvand, a little south-east of Bergovitsa, along the Vaere Bange Road, ultimately draining into the the Nocturnal Sea halfway between Arbora and Egertus via the Storrokke Canyon. Prior to spilling out onto the Vaasi plateau, the Ulvand is far too steep for navigation of any sort. Soon afteward it joins the Ivlis which is not itself navigable. Just before joining the Ivlis, the Ulvand is crossed by the Vaere Bange Road. Even if the river could be forded, something better would be need for wagons. A ferry would be too convenient for bandits to sabatoge. And same would be true of a wooden bridge. So perhaps a very solid stop bridge.
