Barovia forms due the actions of Strahd von Zarovich.[1]
In 351 BC a comet shone in the Barovian sky during the fermenting season. Hence, the year is known as The Year of the Comet. Barovian Red, a local wine, marked the event with labels bearing the image of the comet.[2]
