The Baron is a natural werebat and the darklord of the Eyrie, having killed the previous lord, Zavon. He infected Jerzi, Pyetr, and Liza with lycanthropy and enslaved them under his control, and he now wishes to use Mikel Gunderling, a cursed immortal, as his eternal blood supply.
El Aviador acts as decoy leader for would-be assassins against him.
