San Bartolomé (Domain)

San Bartolomé is an Island of Terror. It is also a heavily forested, mountainous island with rough features striped with rivers. The biggest forest in the domain is Toro Negro on the southwestern part of San Bartolomé. Weather generally is warm, and precipitation occurs throughout the year. The capital of San Bartolomé is Villa de la Aguada (population: 2000), a port town located on a cove that provides a natural harbor.

San Bartoloméan Religion and Mythology

The island is governed by a theocracy, led by the Abadi, that makes laws and holds religious services with mandatory attendance. Moral ideology centers around purification of the soul, with the rightness or wrongness of one's actions being watched over by the Njelx. Right action over a lifetime(s) will allow for the soul to reach a higher state of being. The Njelx are not merely watchful moral guardians; they are the next step in the development of the human soul. The people of San Bartolomé center their worship around two inseparable deities: Homme and Femme.
