Larissa Snowmane is the daughter of Aubrey Helson. Aubrey Helson grew a substantial debt to Captain Raoul Dumot of La Demoiselle du Musarde (the River Dancer, a showboat). Dumont had Aubrey murdered and claimed Larissa as payment, raising her as his own child.
Trained as a dancer growing up, Larissa was ignorant of Dumont's dark deeds throughout most of her early life. However, later on she discovered Dumont's enslavement of several entities that powered the River Dancer and Dumont's murder of the crew and reanimation of them into zombies with the assistance of Alondrin.
