Jacques du Almoy is a Dementlieuse thief and secretly the illegitimate son of Dominic D'Honaire with Eva Candeau. Upon receiving information about his heritage from Councilor Helenè DuSuis, the Living Brain had Jacques kidnapped and delivered to Schloss Mordenheim, where Victor Mordenheim was coerced into turning Jacques into a thrall for the Brain. The Brain has been using Jacques as tool against Dominic, but Jacques is slowly building up a mental barrier against the Brain's interference. In the meantime, Jacques has become paranoid of the government (including D'Honaire) and blames them for his misfortunes.[1]
