Netbook-canon

This refers to material published in Kargatane or Fraternity of Shadows netbooks, or in other select netbooks. (Maps from the MCS are considered Netbook-canon, even though they were not published in a full Netbook format). This differs from Homebrew non-canon only in that many Ravenloft fans can easily refer to such netbooks and decide if the material is suited for their campaign, and it can be assumed that some effort was taken to make the material fit into the Canon. (Though sometimes later additions to Canon have invalidated Netbook-canon).

See:Levels of Canon Benada Nameless is the darklord of Vin'Ejal.[1] As an infant, she was abandoned by her parents the Eye of Toldun and Dillura Ogfenhauer because of the unusual eye coloring Benada was born with. Ekkim Ogfenhauer, Dillura's brother, took on the responsibility of raising Benada despite being only a little over a decade older than her. In adulthood, Ekkim would take her on in as his squire in the Continental Wars of their homeworld.[2] Upon returning from the Continental Wars, the now grown Benada followed her mother to the Shrine of the Eye where she found her parents making love. She also found The Bone Knife of Appissa at the altar of the shrine. As revenge for their abandonment, she slew both her parents, her mother using the bone knife and her father using her psionics. Ekkim walked in and discovered the horror, and she tearfully cut him down with the bone knife. After this last act of betrayal, the Mists embraced Vin'Ejal.[3]

Since becoming darklord, Benada is now required to feast upon human flesh at least once per month. Her hunger bothers her more often than that, but she refrains out of fear of wiping out the small population of Toldun.[3] Benada always has the bone knife by her side in the belief that it affords her some power or defense against Appissa. Benada currently resides in the Shrine of the Eye, content to let her grandfather Lord Pallignay Ogfenhauer rule over the hamlet of Toldun.[1]

Benada is a powerful weresnake with a considerable psionic wild talent. She has an intrinsic mind-shielding ability that protects her from the influence of Appissa, although she believes this is still a function of the ring of mind shielding she wears. The Dark Powers have also given her the ability to use a chill touch effect while in human form.[1]
