Master Bralkain was a vampire. He served Azalin for 170 years as a member of the Kargat. His presence at the Requiem persuaded him to switch his allegiance to Death. He became a member of the Unholy Order of the Grave and was put in charge of a mission to seek out and return to his new master useful magic items. Bralkain seized the Watchers' Stronghold to the end of taking possession of the Key to the Abyss. In life, back in 580 BC, he led the team of wizards from Karg who accidentally created this artifact and thereby unleashed the Whistling Fiend upon the Land of Mists.
